I'll probably be the dissenting vote here, but I run my Vent in stereo,
through a single, stereo speaker cabinet with the coaxial speakers that
are only about 18" apart, when measured from the center of one speaker
to the other. I'm very happy with the results.

I do the same thing with a pair of powered studio monitors in the
rehearsal space: the cabinets aren't exactly touching, but they are
pretty close to each other.
