Thanks. The Yamaha model I am referring to is their new one called the MOXF. Onboard the MOXF is an audio/MIDI interface, with the idea that only one usb cable is needed for the laptop and Yamaha togather to work. Like many out there I am trying to take one keyboard to gigs. Love the Yamaha piano and electric pianos, but the organs are much less desirable.

I control my MacBook Pro running VB3 with a motif XS7. Works like a charm. I mapped out the faders for individual drawbars, even revered the polarity so you pull them down to increase the volume (to replicate how drawbars react). I assigned the knobs aover the faders to control overdrive, reverb, key click volume, and other effects, the two buttons to the left of the faders control percussion and chorus vibrato, and the mod wheel controls Leslie speed.
