Thanks for the thoughtful reply...  I think for my purpose, which is basically wanting to go from my B into the mixer in my home studio the Mini Vent would be fine.

The Mini-Vent is not a replacement for the original Vent.. The Ventilator II is the replacement, and it isn't available yet....  There has been a very long gap in time between when the original Ventilator went out of production and the availability of the Ventilator II, and personally I think that the mini-vent for keyboards is merely  a rework mini-vent for guitar to provide something to bridge the gap. That said, the Mini-vent sound same but does not have the control or editability of the original Ventilator, and it also lacks the remote control input (although a mod is available for around $70 from Bruce Wahler).
