Hi Lou,

Think of the Vent as a real Leslie with two or three mics on it.

* In stereo, there is a mic on each side of the horn rotor, near the
louvers, and a single mic on the drum rotor, on one side. The Vent
'mixes' the horn mics hard left and hard right, and the drum mic
dead center in the mix.
* In mono, there is a mic on one side of the horn, and the single mic
on the drum.

So, the sound of the two channels mixed to mono is different than taking
one mono out. Now, what is 'right' is up to your ears:

* Most people just take the R/Mono output and send it to the sound system.
* A few people mix a small amount (10-15%?) of the left output with
the right output.
* You can mix the two sides 50:50.

Personally, I'd go with Door #1 ...
