Subject:Question on Using Vent in Mono
I am wondering if there is any difference in sound between a single mono out from the Ventilator (OUT R / MONO) and stereo out from the Vent that is mixed to a single channel. I am not sure if the Vent simply adds left and right together for the mono output, or if they do something special for the mono signal.
In my setup of keys, I use a stereo mixer to combine stereo organ and synth into a mix sent to the house. Sometimes stereo keys mix is OK for the house, bus sometimes the house would rather have separate mono signals, one for the organ and one for the synth. So I thought I could just pan the stereo organ channels hard to one side and pan the stereo synth channels hard to the other side. But I am not sure how that would affect the sound of the organ. Anybody tried this and detected any difference? Thanks.
