Subject:So how is everyone liking the update and what tonewheel sets are tickling your fancy?
I managed to update my Mojo this morning and it was a breeze.. no problems whatsoever, and it sounds great.. for some reason, to me, it sounded a little bit muddy at first but after tweaking things it really sounds great. I'm particularly liking the new leslie distance setting.. I love that close-mic'd sound, but I also found that it was pretty easy to drive the Mojo into digital distortion if I chose a bright tonewheel set or eq'd a bright sound and turned shortened the distance to the minimum setting. I'm very glad that I can eliminate the limiter now.. (hated that) and the overdrive is much more useful (my opinion) and it seems as if you select drive one if you want subtle overdrive and drive 2 if you want over the top O, and now both seem much more useable throughout the entire range. Everything just sounds better and more authentic.. what can I say?
I thought I would ask everyone what tonewheel sets are you using and have you found any magical tonewheel and matching transformer settings that are particularly good?? It seems to me that there is a lot of variability given all the different ways we have to vary the sound.. that's good, but given over 20 tonewheel sets and all these new parameters, including the new matching transformer settings, it's a tad overwhelming.. (although to be clear I'm NOT complaining.. ;-)
So how about it, what tonewheel set(s) seem to be tickling your fancy.. and are you adjusting the tones via the matching transformer faders?
