I'm going to try to make a case for the mini-VENT -- not as a Vent
dealer (which I am), but as someone who used to own two Vents and now
owns two mini-VENT for Organ (mV4O) units.

I went with the mV4O because of size/weight. I play guitar, too, and my
pedalboard has a wireless receiver (guitar), tuner, overdrive, and
compressor for the guitar; and the Vent and a talk box for the keys.
Next to that is a dual sustain pedal and expression pedal. That's a lot
of things down at the feet, and limiting the size of pieces adds up. In
fact, the mV4O is small enough that I'm considering burying it in my
mixer/amp rack, now that it has remote capability. The sound is
basically the same, other than a minor improvement in the upper rotor
swirl (which will also be on the Vent II).

And believe it or not, I like the lack of knobs on the mini-VENT. (I
never touched them on the original Vent, once I dialed in the sound I
wanted.) One can use organ master output (Gain on the NE3) to provide
the same effect as the Drive knob, and the settings for Speed,
Acceleration, and Balance mimic my Leslie nicely. So for me, the knobs
are just one more thing to check after setting up for a gig, because
they can get bumped. (I *always* have to reset the knobs on the talk
box, because they're easily moved.)
