Subject:Re: numa organ
It's quite possible there are some undocumented features reachable
only through some combined presses of buttons, or pressing some
buttons or keys when switching on the instruments. Usually they serve
for test or diagnostics reasons and are not described in Owner's
manuals, but documented in Service manuals.
The reason is that they can erase RAM memory, or in some cases when
not properly done, damage OS or hardware... So they should be used
only by experienced service personnel. This has some sense, and
manufacturer's wish is to protect the customers, and the instruments,
and themselves, against possible problems.
But to enable entering common edit mode only this way is rather
strange. Why such basic feature should be hidden to such degree that
it's even not described in the Owner's manual? It's quite possible the
instrument is not so bad and has more hidden functions. But why hidden
if they help to control the instrument better?
Also I would miss detailed MIDI implementation, SysEx implementation
including possibility to transmit contents of internal RAM (User
presets)... Maybe again hidden behind some undocumented secret codes,
or not implemented? Who knows...
Info about the blinking LED is on the page 15...
