Subject:ghost leslie
Weirdest thing happened last night. I'm playing with the house band at our weekly blues jam, and I decided to take my old behringer speaker because it's been getting louder every week, and I don't want to burn up my EV's for a jam. I decided also to go ventless with the SK1 just to see if I could live with it. The leslie sim I'm using (122 pretty much untweaked) is sounding horrible, got this really warbly tremelo going. And it doesn't shut off or slow down with the footswitch I am using, just keeps this horrible fast tremelo going. But the lights on the SK are changing perfectly with each press of the switch. I record everything, so I get the files home and listen. The leslie is sounding fine, switching on the recording, and none of that annoying warble is there. All I can think is the female singer's fan was pointed toward me, and was on all night. The behringer's horn must have been throwing enough sound at it to do that? I'll never know I guess.
