It's interesting like the using of certain chords and certain chord
progressions is narrowly connected with music style and can help to
their recognition after hearing just few of them (together with
melodic motifs, rhythm patterns and instrumentation). With high
probability we will not hear this chord in the blues (or any other
music style based on the guitars), but it's used a lot in more complex
pop styles, bossa nova and jazz. In classical music it has been in use
since Baroque times.
