Subject:Re: many GSi VB3 questions...
Hi Barry,
I play VB3 live on stage through a relatively fast win 7 laptop, but I doubt your onboard soundcard will suffice. However you've got an Eridol USB interface and I would guess that should work ( I use something similar).VB3 has a midi learn function so you should be able to assign control to the various knobs and sliders on your C2.
However, from what I read here in this group but also on the yahoo mojo musicians group, and from what I hear on rare occasions I hear a mojo in the flesh, there is now a considerable amount of clear water between VB3 1.4 (the current version which dates from 2010) and VB3CEII in the Mojo. However, there is a rumour that VB3II standalone is close to being released and may possibly be released either built into, or in parallel with, the release of a GSi or Crumar dual manual controller called the DMC-122 which, as of a few months ago, was due to be released in September.
If I were you I'd email GSi and say you're thinking in buying VB3 1.4 but you've heard a rumour that VB3II is imminent and , if you buy VB3 1.4 now, will you be able to upgrade to VB3II when the time comes.
