Subject:Re: stereo set-up
Hey Fox,
Thanks for responding again. Vocal is going to subs 1 & 2. Organ & other keyboards are using subs 3 & 4. Not using any of the Mackie on board effects. One thing you said about the sim itself. When I changed the mike spread to 180 and set pan hard LT and RT, I could hear what I expected to hear.
I am also going to plug directly into the amps from the XK1C just to see if I can hear anything diffrent from what I now hear. I don't think there should be any difference. thanks again. Leo

Okay ... basically a four bus board with four sends. Are you using this board just to premix your keyboards or are you running other signals
through it?
t'were it me, I would probably assign my organ (and
nothing else) to subs 3 & 4, panning hard left and right, and take
direct outs from those buses to my amp. I likely would not use any of
the Mackie's onboard effects.
Have you tried plugging directly
into your amps from the XK1c's outputs? Do you notice a difference
between l & r channels? You should be able to hear the sim sweep
between the two amps. In the case of your Mackie feeding the two amps,
you should be able to hear the same effect if everything is properly
configured. Remember, each bus (or sub) has its own stereo imaging
setting ... and use of the effects on the Mackie will further complicate
matters ... they have their own preset stereo imaging settings.
Either
way, if everything is configured properly and you cannot hear any
difference than a summing boost between hard-panned and center-panned
operation, I would check the settings on the sim itself.
Hope this helps ...
Best,
Fox
