Subject:Re: New Burn demo
I found out after the fact that this demo was a Hammond C3 through the Burn. I think that most would agree that the Ventilator has revitalized a bunch of older clones and turned some mediocre clones into fabulous sounding clones.. I would anticipate, given all I know about the Mojo sim, what I know about Guido and Andrea, and all of the demos I've heard, that the Burn's leslie sim will be comparable to the Ventilator but it will have a number of additional features..
Fully programmable
Presets
Fully midi capable
Real Tube
multiple amp sims
numerous other effects (reverb, chorus, delay etc)
fully upgradeable via midi
Mine is on order and I'm very excited about it. It's currently selling today for $100 less than the Ventilator (prices will go up once the initial 100 are sold). I'm not sure how the Ventilator II will stack up, but I have sneaking suspicion that the Hammond Suzuki "real" leslie pedal, based on the SK sim, is not going to be a contender (despite being a "real" leslie of course.. wink wink)..
Regards,
Craig MacDonald

Man, that sound good. Of course, it may help that whatever organ he's using as the source sounds incredibly good as well (is it the Hammond featured in the photo?). It would be just an interesting to try this out with a lousy clonewheel or decade-old ROMPLER organ emulator just to hear if it makes a mediocre sound sound better.
I'd love be able get results nearly as good as this from my Xk3c...
