Subject:Re: Hammond SK1 or Nord CD2?

I know how to work an organ as both my grandmother and father were organists.  Playing it is another story! I plan to learn how to play jazz so I think that one set of drawbars would suffice.

If you want to learn how to work the organ then I would recomend a C2d or an use XK system.
The drawbars are a central part in the playing and being able to quickly adjust the sound is a key Hammond organ feature

The C2d has the full set so you can plan ahead on the silent set and then switch.

I am an organ player and for me the piano or synt is almost like a different instrument. Just beacuse you can play the piano does  not in my opinion mean you can work the organ. The lay out is the same by what works musically is not the same.

I am looking to invest in a new clone and am trying to figure out which direction to go.  I don't really know if I would ever need all of the drawbars that the CD2 has to offer and since this would be my first keyboard I like the idea of the extra voices in the SK2, but I've read that they are not to good.  I was hoping that others might weigh in and help me decide!
