Gene,
It fixes the note retriggering problem (when sustaining notes and changing programs), it allows for the expression to be set on or off for upper/lower/both parts (like the damper pedal), it allows for these off/on settings to be stored in registrations (although NOT the function, so you can't set the damper pedal as sustain on one registration and leslie speed on another). It fixes another problem where the VR-09 did not respond to external midi volume (haven't tested it myself but I'm assuming this works now) and they have not fixed the Percussion going through the C/V, or the issue with a layer where the lower sounds go through the upper effect (particularly annoying when the upper effect is an organ with a leslie and the lower sound is acoustic piano).. note that this is NOT a problem with splits, and more often than not, you'll be using splits with an organ sound rather than layers.
All in all, some good things have been fixed, and from my perspective it's quite useable now as an all-in-one.. (the expression pedal fix was the one I was looking for, most other things I could work around).
Regards,
Craig MacDonald

Thanks Craig,
Let us know if it fixes anything not listed as well. I still haven't made my decision on it as I've not been able to get to the store to play it again. It's an hour away. So I'm curious to hear.
