Subject:Re: Can you play jazz organ on a single manual organ?

I think that pedals would something that I would consider adding later.  I am a complete beginner and I think that I could get away without having them for a while.  Plus I am not rich!  I will have to sell or trade some of my guitars and banjos to fund this!

And get pedal to - so you can do the nice ballad work - pedals opens a new dimension - you can do two hand rootless voicings -.and have the root in your left foot.

It's not mandatory, but you won't regret buying a two-manual clone.

It's like I sais, there are some techniques that you can master only with two manuals.
And, it's a lot of fun to play as well.

I would be playing basslines on the organ.  So does that mean I really should find a two manual?

I'd say yes, more or less, if you're not going to do basslines on the organ.

Howdy,

As I stated in an earlier post asking about the going price of Korg BX3, I would like to pick up a clone and learn how to play jazz organ.

I am wondering if I could easily get away with having just one manual?  Maybe something  like the XK1c?  Or, would a single be restrictive and I'd be better off just picking up a dual manual from the get go?
