Subject:RE: Burn vs 122 leslie, HS leslie update, Vent II features
Unless I'm totally mistaken, for me it was easy to tell the Burn from the real Leslie in the Crumar/GSI video. I think it would have been harder for me to tell a Vent from a real Leslie.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but I don't think so.
Here's a clip posted by the guys at Crumar/GSI which is a Burn vs 122 leslie comparison. I'm not sure which is which.. Both sound pretty good to me..

With the release of the Mini-Vent for keyboards and the Burn, and the upcoming release of the HS "Leslie" pedal (release date now updated to November), and the Vent II coming soon.. there is a lot to be excited about in the Leslie sim arena!
Joan posted a mini-vent demo here a couple posts back, and Jim Alfredson also posted the following regarding the features of the Ventilator II on another forum, so I thought I would cut/past it here:
"I also received permission from Guido to post some of the specifications of the upcoming Ventilator II. Keep in mind that these are the features that are confirmed. There are others that have not been decided upon yet and he asked me to keep those private.
- sheet metal enclosure, slightly smaller than original Ventilator
- 2 input jacks
- Hi / Lo gain switch
- internal Stop switch
- 5 Potentiometers with 2nd functions
- Parameters: Slow Speed, Fast Speed, Acceleration, Balance, Drive, Distance, Mix, Volume, Mode, Control
- Mode: Key, Git
- Control: passive Remote, active Remote (or Hammond CU-1), Speed via pedal, Drive via pedal, Mix via pedal
As far as reverb, I know the Ventilator Pro, which is a rack mount version of the Ventilator II, will have reverb (and presets). I don't know if the Ventilator II pedal will have reverb. It would certainly be nice."
Another great time to be a Hammond/clone fan!!
