Here's one that happened in real life a few weeks ago. I turned up at a Blues Brothers tribute band gig - a wedding reception - without my gig bag! I had my Nord Electro 3, an amp and a keyboard, stand but no cables or pedals.

Within ten minutes we scraped together an IEC lead for the amp, a low-quality but serviceable guitar lead and (somehow) a figure-8 mains cable for the Nord! But it was a close one, and I had to do the gig without sustain and volume pedals.

Sounds familiar. My recurring nightmare is that it's been 30 years since I last played the show, I've forgotten most of the material, and my fingers just keep floundering over the keys. Oh wait, the first two parts are real...

The strangest gigging dream I ever had was about playing the Hammond that had (in the dream) just survived a fire. This relates to the problems I used to have when I hauled around a Hammond M-3 chop, back in the mid-1970s.

The dream last night was this Hammond organ with a rotting cabinet!...
It is time to start...I had to turn this organ around to play it..All other keyboards are out of reach...
The keys are these little silver things that i totally don't understand...
I am trying to play some intense Kansas song or something...

Another scenario is a band house where the van is getting ready to leave & I have tons of stuff in my room....
I cannot get it organized...I am in fear of the van & truck leaving without me...
Plus I am being scolded by fellow band members for my total lack of organization!!!! Whew!!

This is totally not how I have been during my music career....but this is the DARK SIDE !!

Oh Yeah...I used to bartend for years & have dreams of totally dysfunctional situations where i trying to do my job but everything is totally wrong..

Do I need an analyst or is this something that others experience..

Sorry for the OT but I had to share...

You should have seen this decrepit rotting Hammond with the skinny silver keys!! LOL.. I forced myself to wake up !!

Maybe less sugar before bedtime!~!
