I don't know what the problem is with getting rid of the "VK sound". I
always liked my VK8m. I didn't care much for the sim.... there has been a big
improvement from the Europeans in that regard. But with sim bypassed, I
always thought it had an excellent sound.

Den is right about the overdrive on the VK8m though. It's still among the
best out there. If you want fat and ballsy, the VK8m gets it.

As far as the drawbar tones, I always thought they were accurate too.

Anyway I always liked my VK8m, and I miss it. Because of the thing with the
vibrato in the percussion on the VR09,its not something I would be able to
use unfortunately. C3 chorus vibrato with percussion is a go to sound for
me. But if you don't use CV or percussion, I suppose the VR09 is close.
