Subject:Nord Electro 2 Rack (or other Nord) Expression Pedal Problems

Hello,

I have a (hopefully unusual) problem with the expression pedal on a Nord
Electro 2 Rack.

After playing for a while (two sets) the pedal starts to have a mind of
it's own and
full heel down is LRL (like really loud) and grabbing the master volume
(upper left)
or the far upper right volume knob (what is the difference between these
two anyway????)
is the only hope.

At this point the volume drops to some sadly unusable level and me get
unhappy.
As this is a guitar/organ/drums gig there's precious little time to go
pumping the
pedal so I don't really know what that would do.

Finally, my questions -

Has this kind of thing happened to others on any Nord gizmo?

Is there some kind of known good pedal I should be using instead of the
FC7 Yam that I have now?
