I have the traditional XLK lower manual and was thinking about mounting the Ventilator inside. You could certainly put a sound module in there as well. I also have the wood stand that comes with the traditional setup. I am interested in getting a pro lower manual to replace this this one and would be interested in a trade of anyone is interested. My friend just got one and it is easier for me to handle the smaller pro by myself where the traditional is a much larger case. It does really feel like you are sitting down to a B3/C3 console with two manuals and the reverse preset keys. So if anyone has the pro lover and wants to do some trading please let me know!

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Not to mention the keys yes!

I have both the sk-2 and xk3c, and i am sorry to say, the keyboard on the sk-2 is not the best in my humble opinion. BIG difference! In price also of course. But then again, hammond have pressed a lot into a little organ.
Good for them.

But i want to say, if one uses the xk with a for example a roland xv2020, sonic cell or similar small modules, they are easy to put into the xlk lower manual and hidden there. Xk can control the modules in a big way!

Then we have hammons xk3c with a much better and more varied sound base than the sk-2 can provide. (And totaly much more expensive of course.)

And it still have a top plate. Which have room for a analogue synthesizer for example!

Thats what i call a complete rig!
The perfect look and the perfect sound database!

I have a roland jp-8000 on top.

It also has the most authentic keyboard action, not to mention the most authentic user interface. IMHO.

I have to agree with you Tommy. The XK just seems to feel right to me as well. I had the original XK-3 then upgraded to the XK-3c and haven’t had any compelling urge to change to anything else. All of the clones out there sound great but the interface on the XK is the best for me. It sounds great and with the ventilator it is even better. I agree with some that the V/C needs to be more configurable but I can live with it if I must.

After hauling a a-100 around for years, I realized that i might need to change for a moder clone.

I got to say this happen after years with considerations.

First i bought a xk3c three years ago. Then i, since i think the lower manual was crazy expensive, i sold the xk3c and got me a new sk-1 when that came out. Instead of upgrading the xk series.

Since i missed the second manual, i sold the sk-1 and bought a sk-2.

Had it for two years but never got used to the missing drawbar on the lower manual.

Then i bought a nord c2. But realized that that was even worse. The user interface on the nord is nothing. Buttons feels cheap.

So i realized that i actually wanted the xk3c complete system again. Silly me.

And now i i feel at peace.

I urge everyone else to check out the xk. :-) just wanted to share my joy with you guys!
