Subject:RE: OT: High price of a Leslie 3300 in the UK

I think those Leslies are over- priced. I use one from time to time and I'm not impressed overall.
Have you run your Mojo in stereo? I imagine that would sound way better and be easier to carry.
I run my KeyB in stereo and it sounds unbelievable!

Hi - Has anyone in the UK bought (or thought about buying) a Leslie 3300?

I'd really like to get one to use with my Crumar Mojo, but the price in the UK seems pretty high - around £2700 (looking at the Hammond UK site and at Promenade Music online). Has anyone got a better price than that?

The US list price is around $2700, with retailers offering a decent discount off this. Even allowing for VAT at 20% in the UK, the UK price seems on the high side.

Any thoughts?

Cheers
