Thanks Bruce et al,
Unfortunately reseating the ribbon cables didn't do anything. I did get rid of some good dust bunnies however!
When I hit the power and display buttons together all I get is: Main 2.01 Sub 1.00. This doesn't reflect what it might say according the the CX-3 Issues page at http://clonewheel.ashbysolutions.com/cx-3bug.html

Any other ideas?
