Agreed. The connectors often loosen over time, and simply re-seating
them helps.

By the way, the IPL number you mentioned isn't the software revision;
it's just the revision of the low-level 'boot loader' code. I'm pretty
sure that every 2nd generation CX-3 had the same code. To get the
'real' software revision, hold down the Display button whole powering
