I have had two pieces of Roland gear that have been indipensible.

The first was a Roland VK8m module, which for it's time was my favorite
clone sound, until Key B and Mojo came out. The chorus vibrato and overdrive
sections are some of the best out there.

The other is the Roland RD 300 GX piano. There are many fans of the FP-4/
RD 300GX Superior Grand acoustic piano sample which utilizes no looping. And
the RD 300 GX also has excellent Rhodes and Wurli sounds. They are real
bargains on the used market.

The RD 300 GX is also an excellent controller and features one of the
actions on any keybed.

I have also never had a need to service either of these products.
