Subject:Re: Soloing on my Mojo!
Thank you friends!
"Hey very nice ...great sounding mojo .....thanks so much ...
You sound great ...!!
Mike"
Thank you Mike!
"Yes nice playing! I've only heard it through my iPad and I'm looking forward to hearing it on my nice studio monitors!
Question.. What are you playing through? I see a Leslie and a speakeasy preamp I the background.
Are you using the internal sim?
Craig"
I'm using the internal sim. Yes, my 145 and speakeasy preamp are still there waiting for a gig like a Jazz Festival or something important! At the moment I'm gigging on small venues!
"Very nice. It's a little hard to hear the lower manual bass part, though.
Are you a Frank Zappa fan? Your opening riff reminds me of his composition "King Kong.""
In my monitor speakers the bass part sounds good, but...
Yeah, Frank Zappa! Who don't like the incredible F.Zappa?
I began playing hammond with guys like "EL&P", "Yes", "Deep Purple", Larry Young, J.Smith and many others! After that, i left the hammond to play piano for many years!
"Mojo sounds very good. Very nice playing too. Wish other members would share their talents playing the Mojo, Hammond, Numa, Nord or any other clone."
Yes, I agree! We can share many things, like bass lines, chords, etc.
Thank you
"Youtube doesn't always put our instruments in the best light sound-wise, but you have pulled it off pretty well my friend. Nice chops too. I am already sold on VB3, and now saving my nickels for a Mojo."
You are right, friend! Buy a Mojo, it is the tonewheel of the XXI century!
"Love the quartal stuff, real nice vocabulary you have on the instrument, nice outside stuff! Seems like you've been influenced a bit by Larry Young and Larry Goldings? Keep it up!"
Thank you for your kindness! I like L.Young and L.Goldings and Goldings gave me good hints, some years ago!
"Raisin
Lower manual bass lines came in very nice on my computer system / sound ...and i am only using $50.00 Behringer computer speakers ....
so it must be your system ....
IMHO
Mike"
I use a pair of Alesis MActive 520, sounds great!
Thank you all my friends and God bless you!
