All of the editable parameters for organs and sampled sounds (EP/AP's etc) are available using the menu on the VR-09 (except for bass pedal drawbar settings which only seem to appear in the editor). However, the VA synth is a different story. ADSR cutoff and resonance can be edited on the vr-09 control panel but if you want to go any deeper than that on the synth, like editing the PCM wave type, that requires the iPad editor.
