There are lot's of ways to tweak them, tone control, overdrive, compression, ADSR, Cutoff and Resonance. There's also the iPad editor which has basic organ switch/drawbar settings..  I can't say that I fully explored all of the options, but of the things I did try, nothing seemed to be making much of a difference.
 
I'm not giving up on them, I'll try to see if I can further tweak them.  If my opinion changes I will certainly report on it.

I'm not impressed with the VR-09 transistor organ frankly.. It just doesn't cut very well! I used them last night for a Doors tribute and honestly they sucked...

Although the VR-09 hammond sound is great!
