Subject:Re: Best used clone under $1,000?
j a hammond,
I've been thinking I need to put my trusty old Korg CX-3 up for sale. I had thought I would keep it for backup to my main ax (Mojo), but it's just not practical to keep an extra keyboard around, and as these super-nice sounding lightweight clones keep coming out, it's value is only going to drop rapidly. I had originally planned to put it up for $800, but I might have to lower that. Also, it really needs the Speakeasy preamp (which I also have, and plan to sell with it) to make it viable, and that's another $300 - 400 (can't remember exactly right now). The Korg with Speakeasy sounds great, but it weighs about 38 pounds (I think), and involves two pieces of gear. If you can find a used Numa for $1500, then you're looking at newer, lighter technology for a little more money.
Anyway, if you're at all interested in the CX3 and Speakeasy preamp, shoot me a private email, I'll be glad to discuss it.
Randy
