Unfortunately, some technologies do become obsolete, but the good apps/products tend to survive and get ported over to new architectures... With respect to the RD and VR products, and I believe it's the same with the Integra-7 module, all parameters can be accessed from the device itself.. The iPad interface is purely for ease of use.. The iPad architecture does make sense because it's so effective for music apps by design.

However, I think that if all the iPads in the world stopped works tomorrow, you could still access and edit any/all parameters n these products! So the products stand on their own, really.. no iPad required! Now you might have trouble playing angry birds or words with friends..
