I do wonder about some new keyboards and sound modules being integrated with iPad technology for editing, upgrades, performance, etc. When the current iPad OS (and the iPads themselves) become obsolete (probably not too far in the future), what happens to the functionality of these keyboards when their software support goes away?  Are they just part of the current crop of disposable electronics? I realize lots of other products are Windows/Mac supported too, Pro Tools, VB3 and so on, but I'm thinking more in terms of hardware such as the Roland RD64, Integra 7, etc. (Maybe I'm missing something though if they can also be used with a laptop/ desktop).

Haha, let's hope not. I'd prefer to think he's smiling down at all the folks who use and love the things he made! Probably shaking his head every now and then too. :p  I do agree that the preamp is probably overkill with the Ventilator, and just from speaking with him on the phone several times I bet he'd probably say the same thing. Doesn't change the fact that the Speakeasy stuff is fantastic, and if you have a real Leslie their preamp is both necessary and unbeatable!

Speaking of Speakeasy, has anyone spoken with them recently? I wonder how they're holding up and what their plans are going forward.

Dave
