I have asked everywhere for a wiring diagram or service manual  for the SK. No response! I have a service manual for the XK1.

The idea of keeping audio ground and switching ground separate has been used on Leslie connections for a long time. The idea is that switching transients caused for example by back-EMF from relays (a pulse of current when the relay coil is turned off) don't make their way through to the audio channel as clicks and pops. Also if a less regulated PSU is used for the switching channel you could also get 50/60Hz hum this way as well.

Try to get the SK1 schematic and find out which ground is which and use them appropriately.
