Sorry - Yahoo showed your "author" name as something different than the original poster, so I didn't realize you were the same person.
In theory, as long as Pins 3 & 5 are both ground, they should be interchangeable.
There's a post below that lists the pinouts on the SK1, and shows pin 3 as the "audio ground", with pin 5 being just "ground"

I don't know why they are labeled differently - I would have thought ground is ground.
Maybe there is a difference if you're using a real leslie?
Or, maybe the "audio ground" and the leslie "ground" are separated so that the leslie speed control (which switches tip-ground to ring-ground) is removed/insulated from the audio-side connection. I.e., as you're switching the leslie speed you are connecting and disconnecting things to ground, and by having a separate "audio ground" pin you have a constant, unaffected ground to the audio signal.
(Though again, I would have thought all the grounds are connected at some point...)
