Subject:RE: Went to the music store!

I wish I had known you were in Belmont Norm. I live at the Embassy Suites there a couple of times a month while working on a DOD project at UW. I haven't even had the time to check out the music store there although I have been to the Seattle Guitar Center many times over the years. Hopefully I will get some time freed up soon to check it out. It would be great to get a chance to meet you on one of these trips as well or maybe catch one of your gigs.

Cheers,

Gary

Subject: [CWSG] Went to the music store!

I made it down off the mountain today and went to American Music in
Bellevue WA across the lake from Seattle..
A great experience.. American Music is a real music store..
It was pretty quiet in there today...
I couldn't stop playing their Kronos 88...
What an inspiring instrument!
The wealth of sounds available was astonishing..
So many grand pianos & great rhodes patches..
I like the organ section but of course the factory patches were just so
so...
I also played an SK1 & really liked it...
The Jupiter 80 was like flying a spaceship!
I kept going back to that Kronos..priced at $2799.00
The sales guy was really awesome...Great jazz player..
He pulled up some songs he had on Logic & we had a jam...
Phil Curry..super guy...
He invited me back just to hang out...
He had everything running thru these Roland satellite speakers with a sub
that looked like a Roland Cube...
Really great sound...It was a fun day...Beats 15 minutes at Guitar center
anyday..
Wish I had a better budget to do more than window shop...
Fun rainy day..
