Subject:Size matter in keys... or maybe not

For several years I used a Yamaha DX-100 as controller for my Voce V-5 clone. DX-100 is an abbreviated DX-7, but with micro keys. Super-portable! I was skeptical, but my fingertips fit where they needed to fit, and my brain-to-finger synapses adjusted almost instantly. Compared with this leap in key size, one-quarter inch over one octave seems tiny. Maybe it's just because I don't pretend to virtuosity.

Also, I need some "standard size" Fatar black keys. Semi-weighted would be nice. I'm told Fatar doesn't make them anymore. Any help out there?
