You're thinking old school. There's no signal path in the new clones, it's all number crunching. The sound isn't actually going through the "leslie sim", it's just numbers being altered. Then those numbers are sent to a D/A convertor. It'd be interesting to see how the new hammond sim (which is the sim from the SK from what I hear) is set up, I'm betting it's an A/D convertor then a processor, then a DA convertor. But yes, I have an old Korg, was a cool feature, only the leslie in that was really bad!
