Two notes, tough…
1) you'll be better off with a solid state drive, especially if you'll
be gigging or rehearsing often

2) you don't need an external soundcard however the small jack plug
might end up unusable eventually. Mine (after 5 years of continuous
plugs and pulls) isn't there yet but has loosened up quite a bit, it's
relatively easy to disconnect the cable unintentionally.
