AFAIK, MIDI over USB isn't subject to the MIDI bus line speed. The drivers
just produce/consume streams of MIDI data (of course, if the end result is
MIDI over 5 pin DIN then it is constrained at some point in the chain).

Regarding 9 contact triggering - I believe that a variant of the HOAX
engine is capable of simulating this properly by using progressive optical
sensing on each key and then simulating the contact being made for each
drawbar. This is similar to the key position sensing on some Yamaha
Disklavier pianos (mine sadly only has simple hammer and key velocity
sensing).
