When I hear the song, I imagine Clyde as a tall, skinny guy with a beard. He is wearing OshKosh overalls and a baseball cap (sideways) and sitting on a rocking-chair on the porch with his '52 Fender Precision plugged into an equally ancient tweed Bassman. His flea-ridden mutt sits on the porch next to him, wagging his tail (tambourine attached) and occasionally howling mournfully. Your imagination may vary.

> Clyde isn't a real person - it's one of my favourite J J Cale songs. All about Clyde, "sittin' on the porch, ain't got no shoes / A-pickin' his bass and a-singin' the blues". A wonderfully vivid snapshot of laid-back folk on a sunny day, somewhere in rural America.
