Subject:Re: SK1 Release 6 Upgrade question
Hi,
I downloaded Release 6 from the EU site but was a bit confused by the install instruction sheet. My last SK1 version upgrade was Release 4. There's a footnote in the instruction to the effect that if you have Release 4 or 5 to only install 5 specified sys files, one of which didn't even seem to be in the download. When you upgraded did you just copy over all the Release 6 sys files to the USB drive? Is there any reason not to?
Thanks,
Jay

The Hammond US site doesn't have the newest version yet for some reason. They probably were working on the re-model. The newest version (Release 6 ver.1.400) is available here:

I forget when the software change that improves the compatibility with the different USB memory types was made so if possible use a small USB drive for this update. Save a setup to the USB drive just to be safe but I've never lost a setup during an update and I've updated and reverted to older versions and updated again at least a dozen times. Usually testing USB drives.
The Hammond EU site also has a new library that isn't available on the US site yet too.
Good Luck.

I just got mine all dialed in and redid a ton of presets. It ways I lose these if I install this update. Can I save the main setup, reinstall a new version, then install my setup back since it says installing the new version brings the factory presets back to default?

The Hammond US site has just been re-modeled and the download links don't seem to be working yet. It also didn't have the most recent software available yet anyway. The Hammond EU site has the most recent software:
