I really like how my VK-7 sounds with the Ventilator but have never used it as a controller. The non-waterfall keys are fine with me, as I like the keyboard action a lot. It is very similar to the action on my Hammond A101. IMHO the VK-7's percussion sounds real good and its Chorus is pretty decent, with the modulation just a bit more prominent than the Hammond when I A/B them (I never use Vibrato). I never tried the Korg but I often can get settings on the VK7/Vent to sound indentical to my Hammond A101 and Leslie.

Not the solution you want to hear. B3 cloning and leslie simulation has jumped a level since the CX3 and RPM. Either clone through a Ventilator will make you feel up to date with a great sound, but i'd consider at least an Xk1 or any clone from the last 5 years or so (numa or whatever). The difference will be noticable and worth it.
