I also agree that Joeys repetitive running off of the fingers is boring and self serving, look at me. Much better would be thoughtful use of that speed in appropriate places where it would serve with more musicality and taste. Took me a few years to learn. He still hasn’t.

My point is that I appreciate tasteful playing over virtuoso shredding any day of the week.. it's that simple.. when I was younger, the opposite was true.

Joey D is boring.. period, that's my opinion.. it's not an attack on Joey by any means.. it's just the opinion of a seasoned organ player who doesn't aspire to do what Joey D does, I aspire to tasteful simplicity rather than self-indulgent BS..

Comparing Joey and Greg is like comparing Robert Fripp and Mark Farner. Sure you can remember Mark's guitar licks... But really... The virtuoso is obvious.
