You think it's obvious based on a rather narrow definition of virtuoso, however virtuosity can be defined a simply extraordinary, or exceptional.. Greg Rolie can be considered a virtuoso for his superb and simple melodic solos!  

Would you agree that Carlos Santana is a virtuoso guitarist.. I think a lot would think so, but he's certainly not know for his shredding. For the most part he's known for his beautiful and simple melodies and his ability to execute them with such feeling. 

I don't get a lot of feeling from Joey D..  the only feeling I get is BORED!!!!!

No Craig... You asked "so who's the real virtuoso?" I also love Greg Rollie's playing, but he is not a virtuoso...
