One thing I have learned in my nearly 60 years on this planet is that people change... Or more precisely, their levels of expectations change.., primarily because they are lazy.

They watch "reality tv" because they do not want to have to think about and analyze stories...
They buy from Amazon because they are too lazy to get in the car and go to the mall.
They buy an SK1 or VK09 because they are too lazy to pack a heavier multi-part keyboard for a gig.

It's not the Zeitgeist, and its not government controlled social manipulation, its weak minds...
