What scares me off is that i'm one of the youngest members of this group.
What relieve me a bit is that actually at least many youngsters are quite receptive to "good music" once they get a chance to discover it…Often get a lot of questions and compliments from kids after a concert. Usually they're brought about by their parents, look quite bored at the start of the concert and gradually change attitude. And next time we play they are back, perhaps on their own, maybe with friends.
