Sorry guys but I call bullshit on this "I hear harmonic beating"..  There is no harmonic beating on this recording. This ventilator is merely set on a pretty close mic setting which gives that pronounced "beating sound" but this is NOT harmonic beating, it's nothing more than a close mic setting.
 
Harmonic beating is only going to exist, and be heard, when you combine the digital precision of a clone, with the digital precision of a leslie sim..  It's highly unlikely that you will ever hear harmonic beating using a REAL hammond and a digital sim.. or for that matter a clone through a real leslie..  WHY? Harmonic beating is the result of a digitally precise clone running through a digitally precise leslie sim, where secondary waves are magically created which sound like beating or flanging or other odd effects. It's only when you have a digitally perfect effect (digital leslie sim) acting on a digitally perfect wave (clone) that this can happen. It's NOT going to happen when you have a real Hammond being played through a digital sim, or you have a clone played through a real leslie.. The type of effect that we have been referring to as harmonic beating only exists with a digital clone through a digital leslie sim.  The reason is that a
real hammond and leslie is not digitally perfect.. there is slop and drag and in the tonewheel mechanism, and there is the same issues in leslie motors and slop in pulleys etc..  If any harmonic beating exists in a hammond/leslie it is probably something external to the organ based on waves reflecting of walls and creating standing waves and other odd effect. 
 
There is no harmonic beating in this BV/Ventilator combination, and certainly non in this recording. 
 
BTW.... WTF is the with the "Take me out to the old ball game" at the end of this recording??

Call me dense or a silly old man, but I don't understand what you mean by
"the harmonic beat " that you hear. I own a real 122 and , seriously, The
vent is by far, the closest thing yet, imho.
Could you explain in more depth ? I haven't yet had an instance where the
Vent sounded bad or fake to me and
everyone I've jammed with, in fact, I'm constantly amazed by the rave
reviews I get from all the musicians I gig with when
I use it. Not trying to start a flame, just trying to understand.
