Subject:Re: Have I offended anyone? Casio 7500 & the Ventilator

I am pleased to hear that I am still a member in good standing. For some strange reason which I can't figure out the last two things I sent out did not get posted, but it obviously worked this time.

I have taken a sabbatical for at least a year from playing live the past two and a half years of playing in two different bands have left me exhausted and frustrated that even as we grow older some of us don't seem to grow up. Since I don't do music to support myself I look to it for enjoyment, and mental stimulation. The past two and a half years was mentally stimulating and my playing improved, but I often felt like a mediator in a labour feud trying to get people working together and not against one another. So I am dedicating the next 12 months to work on my chops and my songwriting and continue to play twice a month with my basement band. I also went out and bought the Casio WK7500 which I believe another member of this group owns and plays. I have to say for the money it is not a bad little keyboard. The organ is okay, but I have VB3 so that is fine with me. I do like the piano, electric pianos and some other patches, I found them superior to the
old Roland RS5 which I sold to acquire the Casio.

If I could get a a used Ventilator for a reasonable price I might be interested in buying one. I am surprised with all the reverse engineering going on that some company has not pulled the Ventilator apart and come up with a more cost effective version.
