Sort of a clonewheel? The organ in GarageBand (on the Mac, I'm sure, and probably on the iPhone) is based on EVB3, which at the time it came out, was one of the best clones around. It's been surpassed, but many find it quite useable. And, the iPhone/iPad version might have the best display on a computer-based clone.

Sorry I don't know about the Akai. GB/iPad will work with any "class-compliant" keyboard via the Camera Connection Kit, but you might need a different hookup with the iPhone.
