Mike: I think that the sales person you were talking to didn't give you
the whole story. I'm sure that Nord, Hamm-Suz, and others would be
delighted if Theremin Center would carry their products. However, I'm
also sure that they don't want to enter the kinds of
consignment/financing deals that bigger folks like Fender and Roland
provide to the largest retailers. (I'm only 99% sure that they have
these deals, but I know that Mars Music had them, because they left over
$10M US in consigned and private-labeled goods in their wake when they
went bankrupt.) Given the small sales of clone products in the bigger
MI picture, and it's a lose-lose situation.
