Silly question, but why no touchscreen on a macbookpro? Mainstage plus touchscreen , seems would be great for live performance. Thinking of taking the macbook/mainstage plunge, rather expensive.

Agree but then I never say never, if a PC equivalent of MainStage were to come out I might consider going back to PC's, but then it would also have to include all the quality VST's that come packaged with Logic/MainStage.
And before folks leap in and point out that the functionality of MainStage can be matched by the PC options, IMHO yes the functionality can be matched, but none offer an equivalent to the WorkSpace Performance display or an easy to use interface. And Windows does not have the equivalent of CoreMidi built-in.
All this from a lifelong PC/MicroSoft user. I even have Windows 8 phone now!!
